Review on πŸ”‘ Unlocking Craftsmanship: The Pocket Hole Drilling Jig Project Book (Popular Woodworking) by Rob Clark

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Useful but limited value - parts missing

This book has some useful information about breakaway fasteners and their applications, but lacks details on things like choosing screw lengths for different thicknesses of wood or what types of clips are best for different situations. Some information on useful assembly tools or assembly tables with T-rails complete the book. I would like to see more information on competing pocket hole attachments and the pros and cons of each model. The book really seemed to favor Kreg's devices. As the Kreg owner, I enjoyed it, but would like to learn more about alternative options. Much of the book is devoted to practical applications in the form of building projects; However, the designs look like they're straight out of the 1950's, not something I'd want to build for myself.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Extendable
