Absolutely exquisite cutting set that will whet the appetite for huge chunks of meat so you can have them more often. Luckily, I also have a chef's knife from the same manufacturer, so I can indulge my whims with this equally impressive tool. Despite being presented with a carved walnut magnetic top case, the included instrument is second to none. The carving knife's weight is concentrated in the end of the handle, but it's well balanced with a thicker shaft that continues with a full tang riveted to a polished composite handle. The 16 degree blade edge actually slips more than any cutting force exerts. The knife's aesthetic features are duplicated by a cutting fork. This wood carving set will stand the test of time and will no doubt become a family heirloom.
