The fabric is amazing and has an elastic band to adjust the waist.

I already had these trousers in khaki and my daughter really liked them, they are comfortable for going to school. She is 4 years old and weighs about 33lbs and I bought the 5T it's a bit big for her but like I said you can adjust the waist I can expect these pants to stay with her for a while.
