We've only had stemless wine glasses for the last few years so my wife wanted a pair of good steamers - I picked these up hoping they would work. We were very happy with the choice, but we add: they are VERY elegant, thin and fragile. First, they are packaged in a beautiful box that you can gift if you wish. Plus they arrived well packed in this box and safe and sound. They look great - attractive shape and sit well on the table or anywhere - look great with or without wine. We love both the whites and reds in it - we're not really picky about them - and both work and hold up well. The balance is pleasant - easy to hold, with and without wine - and comfortable to hold in the hand. I would say they are "big". That's the problem. they are VERY THIN! It's exquisite. Nice. But it's VERY THIN - on the lips, around the edges, for washing. SLIM! I mean THIN! This means that you MUST watch out for breakage during use and washing. Stems are THIN! Yes, we have literally no doubt that they are very fragile. My wife has used them a few times and really likes them but YES they are THIN and need to be handled with care. She cares a lot - more than she/us with other glasses we've had. But we're glad we have it and we'll use it often.
