Dry board! Broke within a month!

The plate was very dry when delivered. As if it had been in a warehouse for a long time before it was sold. I tried my best to lubricate and condition the board but it took me too far. I missed the return window so now I'm stuck with a cracked board. Learn from me and buy something from a local carpenter.
