These extension cords work well. There are different brands that offer many color combinations. All these companies need to do is just include an 8-pin (4+4) CPU cable, sometimes referred to as "EPS 12v". Almost all new ATX boards, whether AMD or Intel, require either two 8-pin or one 8-pin and one 4-pin CPU connector. Some consider "few" manufacturers to mean two CPU upgrades. LINKUP and Phanteks offer 4-pin or 8-pin (4+4) single cables that fit most of their base kits. This is not a problem as the CPU sockets on all mainboards are hidden in the upper left corner of the boards and are therefore hardly visible. The problem is that I know I may have two cables that don't match. And it worries me.
