I have used many pillows over the years that I have flown. Airplane seats do not have lumbar support. One problem with non-inflatable items is that you cannot adjust the thickness. Depending on the aircraft and class you're sitting in, it may be too elaborate or too flimsy. This is fully adjustable with a valve. More importantly, it's the perfect size. It distributes the load over a wide area where many others are too small and cause pain in the middle of the back. Easy to inflate, deflate and fold - this pillow made flying less painful for me. I chose light blue because I'm more likely to see it when I land. I left a few on the plane as they darken and blend into the seat.
