I bought these lights to use on my palms on the patio. They looked great the first night I used them, but I found that moisture quickly soaked into the battery's plastic casing and the batteries began to rust within a few days. Also, the battery compartments don't hold the batteries tightly to the terminals, so I have to squeeze them to make them work. I will replace the rusted batteries and try to glue the cases to ensure a tight connection and also to keep moisture out. All in all, I wouldn't buy these again. I have another set of street lights that run on 3 AAA batteries in a hard plastic case. These work much better. Although they are more expensive, they justify their price.
