The product arrived with no problems such as breakage or chipping. Each tray was separated by a double "vv" shaped cardboard divider. The box itself was encased in a tight, protective mini-bubble wrap that was difficult to remove. I almost dropped the box a couple of times trying to cut it off, but it served a purpose other than a little groan. no complaints. They appear to be of good quality and have a nice porcelain finish (except for the base which has a rough unfinished appearance). I've used them twice for an "extra" dinner. of _______ (whatever), not to mention it's a great little dish for serving kids' meals like a fruit smoothie (prevents syrup from splattering on the plates) or any other small portion of anything soupy or is liquid. You look great. Because they're made of porcelain, they're easy to clean and stack nicely in cupboards. Because I didn't realize anyone mentioned it: never. NEVER use abrasive cleaners, scouring pads (anything that can scratch) etc., this will at least result in many micro-scratches on the surface which over time easily capture and hold stains, not to mention I think bacteria and so on. Just an extra treat to throw in here just in case. This is a good, well made product.
