This product has been used for less than a year and it has been a complete failure. The weight of the chair is well below the manufacturer's specification of 205 lbs. The main problem is that the tilt function is set to the right side. This means that when reclined (as intended) there is an inherent rotational force on the control lever side of the backrest. This, combined with a terrible weld, ultimately leads to very early product failure. As I sat back one day, I noticed that the back felt "loose". The bolts used to come loose on their own, so I decided to just tighten the hex nuts that hold the backrest in place. notices that the entire bracket "dangles". Realizing the screws were tight and the backing wobbly, I decided to open the vinyl cover. That's when I noticed that the bracket that attached the back of the chair to the control knob was broken. completely broken back a rmature. Terrible design. Other downsides to this chair include cheap upholstery that almost flattens out after less than a year of use. The vinyl armrests are already cracking. Just a terrible product. .That's right, I really liked this chair for the first 4 months. Then it just started to fall apart, because the true quality of the chair can only be seen after a long period of use. I strongly DO NOT recommend buying this chair if you are happy with a replacement in less than a year.
