Elbow missing. I've been getting burns a lot lately, especially when making pizza in a floor-to-ceiling oven. The dog ate my old ones. True story. I want to give advice based on the reviews I read before ordering. Gloves consist of 2 layers. Silicone sleeve and fleece lining inside, only connected at the top. So, yes, my fingers, especially my thumb, initially couldn't get far into the spaces between the fingers. This is what a lot of people mention. I simply took two of my thickest wooden spoons (the end of the handle) and pushed the fleece "fingers" up to the top of the silicone fingers. It just so happened. It would be better with a different color, but that's a minor thing.
