Review on 💡 Metra XSVI-9003-NAV Accessory Power Retaining Harness for Non-Amplified and Non-OnStar Systems by Jacob Diego

Installed on a 2009 VW Passat 2.0T Sedan. The instructions were very short and to the point. Things to note there are 2 12 pin connectors plus a large connector that plugs into the vehicle's wiring harness. Make sure you connect the correct 12-pin connector to the box provided. The other connector is for the Steering Wheel Control (SWC) if you buy a separate SWC harness adapter. I think the instructions should detail which wire harness goes where and what the other connectors are for e.g. B. whether a 1/8 inch socket needs to be connected if you are not using a SWC connection. Also if it says turn on the key for 30 seconds then turn it off and on again, do exactly what it says. My radio didn't turn on initially because it didn't initialize properly to begin with, but after my car was on for more than 30 seconds, then turned off and back on, it worked fine. Overall I am very satisfied with the result and the quality of this product. A much cheaper alternative that still works.
