I bought this product over the cheaper version for two reasons. The first and most important feature for me is that when you are in the water and the wheels are up they can be angled away from the boat and out of the way or away from the engine giving you more room to make tight turns. The second reason is its rigid construction and high build quality, not to mention the fact that it only requires six mirror holes and for me it's worth it, the fewer holes in the mirror the better. My only concern at the time of purchase when the weeks photos look like cheap plastic but on arrival I am pleased to report that they are not, they are made of good rubber and the air valves are indeed in a post outward angle, which makes inflation easier. My friends' cheaper heels confuse me, it's not fun to inflate cheaper heels. I'm sure these coils will last a lifetime if I just store them in a heap after each season, eventually even aluminum rust but not if cared for. You want cheap shoes that can ruin your perfect day before they're worth every penny because you don't have to replace them.
