ITS 99% PLASTIC for RV parts and accessories

I thought it was good for the money. The instructions were not easy for me to read. i am not young I'm amazed at how sanitary materials have made their way into the world of plastics. Plastic isn't the best material and I'm sure if the part where the hardware bolts to was changed to brass the installation would be a lot easier. Cross threads can be cut very well with this plastic. They say to use tape on the plastic threads, but the hoses that come with them have a rubber seal and I think it does, so no need for tape. After playing around with this setup for about 45 minutes, I decided to leave all the connections loose and then install the faucet valves on top. Once they were in place it was a lot easier for me to tighten everything. The problem with my system was that the wheelbase was 8.5 inches. And the hoses that came with the system are much longer than the original hoses that I removed. I believe the new hoses were 8 to 9 inches long. Long hoses are quite stiff. They don't do U-turns very well. So you have to play with the taps to figure out which position they should be tightened into. I wish I could say it took 5 minutes and I was done and I never do repairs. but i'm always working on things and that build up time depends on where you work and if you can get big hands in small spaces to break things up. My screws got rusty and I had to take a grinder and grind the faucets horizontally from the top and then unscrew the chrome part. These hoses fit into a horizontal fitting at the center port and I would have been much better off if the port was an inverted V shape where the hoses screw in. That way they would be much easier to put on and less likely to cross threads. Now that I know how it works, it won't take long to switch to an all-metal faucet, but of course the price of metal faucets is much higher. All in all, this is a decent faucet and I wouldn't mind adding extra fittings.
