My lashes grow down and regular eyelash curlers NEVER hold a curl. I use it in combination with a drier mascara formula and apply it to the curled part of my lashes and I'm pleasantly surprised that the curl lasts most of the day! You can also use a second time AFTER your mascara is completely dry to intensify curls. This style of heated eyelash curler (which tweaks) is the only heated eyelash curler worth trying for my unruly lashes! UPDATE: Just a few months after purchase and little use, it's time to change the batteries. For those who like to use rechargeable batteries, some devices don't charge rechargeable batteries - this device is one of them. I also have some corrosion, which is too early for a Panasonic-made unit. It still works on live batteries, which I'm very happy about, but will be very disappointed if I have to buy it again.
