I had my tires changed at Pep Boys today but gave the tool a try when I got home just to see how it works for me. All I had to do was find the TPMS page in my dashboard menu and hold down the checkbox until the "Relearn" menu appeared and then I selected "Yes". hold down the power button so that the TX indicator flashes and once the car restarted when the beep sounded and the car parking lights moved to the next bus to reset. I did this on the whole car and as soon as the last one was done the beeping sounded and the dashboard menu reverted to the normal tire display. After that, I removed the battery from the compartment so that it would not outgas when installed in the device. I will put the battery back in if I need to use the tool again. This is a must if you change your own tires or your shop doesn't reset the TPMS afterwards, and it's as cheap as that. There's no excuse for not having one around.
