Worked as described to connect Apple TV via ARC to a home theater receiver in a service closet in the garage and the sound system throughout the house, although I have the power out every few times Had to switch off weeks due to lost picture and sound since I received it. After 18 months, the device suddenly stopped sending, the sound and picture were severely distorted. Replaced it with another brand from Revain (EZCOOTECH EX70H2) and kept all the HDMI cables and IR ports and voila - everything works. As a result, this device that I received was simply unreliable over time or constantly had problems. It is not yet known how long this new device will last, but so far there has been no need to turn it off and maintain a stable connection.
