Review on Coaxsher Scout Radio Chest Harness by Mike Ramani

I am a 5ft 2in tall female on a mountain search and rescue team. I already had a Scout but I rarely used it because the pockets were too tight and it was almost impossible to use even with my small Wouxun radio and GPS Garmin 62s. In the summer I have pockets that attach to the shoulder straps of my backpack and I don't use a chest strap. External pockets do not work in snow, while the jacket can cover the chest strap and still provide easy access. I tried to modify my old Scout without success and went in search of a new suspension. And look, and look, and look. There are some good harnesses for big chests and big radios. The only women's harness I found had only one pocket. i need two Well, well, I checked out the Scout again and noticed that the pockets are a bit larger and made from a softer stretch material. Since I didn't have a suitable chest strap, I ordered one and crossed my fingers. The dishes have the usual quality of materials and workmanship that you would expect from a Coaxsher product. Pockets feel softer. I had to remove the belt clip from my radio, but both it and the GPS fit without the gorilla strength needed to slip into a pocket (still not that easy). I would wish for stronger, wider straps and a more stable strap system. With its shortcomings, I consider it a three star system, but have added a fourth star for the smallest but very active people on the planet.
