So I've been chewing my own hair for longer than I can remember. My last set of clippers was a $30 kit, in fact they still work but after almost a decade of use and abuse the blades have dulled and it's time to get a new set. (I suppose I can find replacement blades if I look hard enough.) I don't particularly like the idea of fiddling with a battery pack or charging the clippers before trimming, so I wanted a corded model and messed with as many clippers or out of stock out of stock at this difficult time i decided to take a chance and buy what i think is a respectable brand - remington. I was wrong. Very, very wrong. The scissors that come with it are cheap and totally useless. The pair I received with this product is not only dainty and tiny as if made for a child's hands, but when closed they have a 1/4 inch gap between the tips of each side. They bend outwards, away from each other. As such, they arrived in packaging that had not been mistreated or abused, meaning that's how they left the factory. Completely unacceptable. I ended up using an old whale shears from almost a decade ago that came with the kit I bought at the time. (They still work fine.) Because I couldn't even trim a single strand of hair around my ears with the Remington pair that came with this product. The selection of hair attachments isn't great, but I don't need a lot. Oh. They are of such poor quality that the plastic teeth on the ones I used bent irreversibly the first time I used them. The clippers themselves are lightweight, but not in a good way. These clippers are clearly not powerful enough. They cut. hardly and not without a decent traction and several passes. The device also got quite warm (not too hot) during use, but I wouldn't count on it dying right on me any time soon. To be honest if I thought it would be wise to return a product like this I would. Unfortunately it has been used and clippers are not items to be returned. I expected poor quality from a brand like Conair. or at a cost of $20. I didn't expect even worse quality from Remington for $40. They go in the trash. While waiting to get another pair of Whal Clippers I highly recommend saving your money and getting EVERYTHING better than this junk product.
