Review on Nature's Miracle Self-Cleaning Litter Box for Multiple Cats by Chris Perez

It will be very helpful as you read on.

I have owned Littermaid for over 15 years. The originals worked quite well, the new blue version is much smaller and not as good, but quieter. With that in mind, I decided to try this version of Nature's Miracle's Multi-Cat. Not only do we have a lot of cats in our family, but we also volunteer and help local animal rescuers. This leads to an insane amount of litter and litter boxes. A few years ago I decided to make it easy for myself and bought a 4-legged table with telescopic legs. At the shortest height I put 3 drawers next to each other and removed the plastic toilets. I placed 13 gallon trash cans under each trash can hole and scooped the boxes straight into the trash, making clean up a lot easier. Every 2-3 days I added a little more litter, but every 6-7 days I cleaned all the litter in the trash and replaced it with fresh ones. I bleach once a month. Needing more boxes and the original Littermaids being outdated, I ignored the negative reviews and tried these boxes in exactly the same configuration. The first plus is a night light on the side - a great feature. Do not overfill the litter, works best online. The best clumping litter with the best odor control was Tidy Cats Lightweight WITH GLADE Clear Springs, so understand that litter is important. The scraper tool for cleaning the rake mechanism is on top, so you don't have to put a dirty object on the table or floor - a big plus. It's fairly quiet, so much so that what we use in our main bathroom never woke us up, and I'm a ridiculously light sleeper. It's the only one we use as expected, but we put plastic bags in the collection bin just to throw them away. We currently have 4 items from this brand in addition to the expired Littermaids and we intend to add more. I'm sure some of them will fail eventually, like most things, but my back doesn't break every day digging up trash cans, so even if one of them fails, it's worth the money. I also found that using cheap Wal Place Parsons coffee tables with 7-8 gallon trash cans also worked great, 2 drawers side by side. A stepladder next to the table is useful, but not necessary. Once you try this setup, you'll be a much happier parent! Don't forget, rescue saves lives! Become a volunteer or host today!
