These filters are made of cloth material that acts like a velcro fastener - dirt, especially pet hair, is very difficult to remove and if you work hard cleaning the filter by removing sticky objects start to damage the material itself. The original filters that come with the Shark vacuum cleaner are like durable paper and easy to clean, just rinse them under the tap; I haven't suffered any damage after many cleanings. But these filters are terrible! I won't buy them again.
