Review on EuroMini Folding Bike Lightweight Aluminum Genuine by Mark Walsh

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Suitable for newbies living in New York

Not a bike expert, almost a beginner, but I've wanted a folding bike for a long time. I didn't want anything out of the ordinary, just something well made that wouldn't fall apart with daily use. I made my decision after seeing that one of the 5 star reviews here was from an engineer praising how well engineered this bike is. I've had it for 2 months now so I feel confident enough to write a review. Benefits - 2 for the price of 1 Special - Easier to commute to work And I get a workout out of it. - I like the magnets on the sides of the wheel to help with folding. works even better with the collapsible metal basket I received. - Fat wheels are good for cushioning bumpy roads - Cool fenders, they really protect against splashes - Pretty ready to ride out of the pits, I just had to inflate the tires with a little more air and pedal. - Easy to keep not only at home but also at work. also - I really appreciate the 7 gears, I use them all. Cons - The front brake pads squeaked horribly when I used them, especially when it was wet/rainy. I cleaned and rubbed the wheel and it started to squeak even louder. it sounded like I was torturing a goose. I took it to my local bike shop and installed new brake pads, the problem was solved. Maybe it's my fault, but the nut that attaches the bike seat post was missing. I could have lost him, I don't know if he came at all, but I don't deduct points for that. My local bike shop gave me one for free. wanted to post it there anyway. I use this bike exclusively for commuting, sometimes I use it to run errands. In the past, commuting to work from Bensonhurst to Williamsburg was very annoying and time-consuming (I had to drive to Manhattan to get back to Brooklyn, and the MTA in general sucks). I figured if I had a bike I could take the G train with it and go straight to Williamsburg. My commute has increased from 1 hour 30 minutes (1:45-2+ hours on weekends) to just 1 hour non-stop no matter what day I work, sometimes even less than an hour when I'm having a good day . After seeing/feeling the benefits of cycling almost every day it's been a really good 2 months. I live near the university so I plan to use my bike to get there. If you live in the city and are thinking of a folding bike, this is a really good option. I am very happy with my choice and I want to take good care of this bike so that I can use it for a very long time.
