They go great with my old C9 strands. The attached photo shows the difference in brightness, please note the old glass bulbs that break if you look at them the wrong way are on a tray as I was worried about the heat on the floor as we all know the heat is from old glass bulbs ridiculous. Have they really been planted on potted trees? That's why I changed them, they killed needles on my open tree I strung them up! These bulbs practically do not heat up, although the cartridge does warm up a little. I bought 2 packs of purples and 2 packs of multis to mix in (lots of onions are out right now). Yes, incredibly expensive, but I'm old-fashioned and wanted to replace my current filament and bulbs. I can see the price has gone back up since I bought them 2 weeks ago :( They were sent in regular packaging but none were broken which is a testament to their durability.
