When you are replacing a fuse in expensive electronic equipment - in this case a power amplifier - you need the RIGHT fuse. That's it. This is a FAST BLOW ceramic fuse. 12 amps are pretty rare as most are 10 or 15. But it was right for the application and now we even have spare parts.
