Review on SKOLOO Weatherproof Micro SD Card Case Hunter Red - Compact Single Cute SD Card Storage Box Holder Container by Noel Pilla

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Rugged memory card accessory

Looks like it's ready for anything and will keep my SD cards in one spot in my desk drawer, but it's by no means suited to any type of environment beyond the extreme office. The cards are held securely in a hard plastic insert, you will need a pocket knife to pry them out unless you have long fingernails. The clamshell closes enough to withstand a spilled cup of coffee or maybe a little rain, but it's not airtight at all. And the clasp doesn't stretch either, so when you squeeze the o-ring it won't compress and even stays securely in place. I'd say it's not if, it's when this thing opens if it's been put in a backpack on a regular basis. As Revain continues to open its doors to foreign traders, you should really read the reviews carefully. There are some unbranded sellers with good quality items at reasonable price. And if you want to organize your SD cards and look like you're ready for anything, that's fine. But if you really want to protect your SD cards from harsher conditions than a suburban backyard, this isn't the case. A perfect example of what you pay for, you get what you pay for: security comes at a price and this product doesn't live up to the stringent standards it sets. I don't need Pelikan or Otterbox quality, but I probably won't leave them either. Mainly because the padding is too hard (it's soft plastic, not dense foam) and frankly because of the over-marketing.
