Review on Arrow Fastener PT18G 18-Gauge Nailer by Sean Young

Revainrating 4 out of 5

If it had instructions it would be 5 stars

First of all this is a great tool. I've never used a nailer before but I needed some work trimming the edges of my stairs and I knew it was worth getting one and I'm glad I did. But as you will see in many other reviews of this product, the most frustrating moment was the total lack of instructions. The packaging was as versatile as it could be and I expected it, but I also expected a minimum of informational material with the product. So, to my embarrassment, I had to rely on my father's request, from whom I had borrowed the compressor. do a project. I felt like a six year old watching what Dad was doing to put the house back in order. The good thing is I felt like a six year old watching what dad did to fix the house back up and I was glad to hear he really liked the super easy Arrow Brad Nailer. Reading other reviews someone mentioned that a google search would find instructions/manuals for the PT18G but I haven't had any luck with that yet. I've found some very interesting websites including a Brit doing a good use of a nail gun in a video but I don't need anything to understand how to use this product and how to care for it. I suspect that in the "regular" packaging (not the no-frills packaging I received) there might be a booklet or what I call a hypothetical PT18G Nagler Rosetta Stein device. I don't expect to use this particular tool for a while, although I say this as a hardcore newbie to carpentry and DIY projects. I see how more experienced crafters can use this tool more often. It is very easy to use and the light weight really surprised me; A few years ago, when we were performing as the "here wait" guy during a two bedroom renovation during my wife's late pregnancy, we used a 1970's nailer that weighed almost as much as Mjolnir, Thor's hammer. Of course, these are two completely different jobs, framing and tack, but the PT18G seems helium-filled by comparison. The price was very reasonable too, less than $60 I think. I know this nail puller is a useful item because my brother-in-law has already borrowed it for some chores in his cave below, and he seems to approve of it too.
