Great for a new knife lover or anyone who wants to know how

Worthy product. The product came in a nice box with a nice (albeit obviously cheap) carrying case. The C-clamp works well, although the pad came off immediately. Easy to install but the glue the manufacturer uses sucks. The photos are good enough to set it up in a few minutes. The vertical adjustment rod is round so it moves as you tighten the angle lock. There are no knuckle markings, but you can buy a protractor cheaply or by eye at Revain. Stones are crap. I'll save them for knives that have gone really bad, but I'll use my good waterstones in the future. A 3000 brick is maybe 1000 or 800, and the plastic support stick comes loose on first use (again, the glue sucks). Having owned and used Edgepro, Worksharp, Spyderco, Diamond and Waterstones I think I have the experience to really appreciate this product. If you are new to sharpening then this is your tool. If you want to refinish your kitchen knives a few times a year then get this. If you want knives sharp enough to shave without making a sound, then this isn't for you. If you're going to buy that, buy some decent stones, they'll serve you well. Finally, you'll need some sort of sling to polish the edge.
