Not for wimps for Steering Wheel Accessories

So I bought this handlebar cover because the 'built-in' handlebar cover was starting to peel off. The instructions for this shoe recommend leaving it in the sun to warm up so that it is easier to mount on the wheel. It tells you that if you show patience, warmth, and a strong hand, you CAN take cover. The instruction was to the point of insult that if you can't raise the ceiling you're a weakling. I am a 52 year old woman. 5'10 and strong. It was a bit tricky but with perseverance I managed to put the cover on. The cloth boot has an inner rubber that wraps around the existing steering wheel. The rubber ripped and ripped when I put it on the handlebars of my 2011 Ford F150 truck, but I still managed to put it on. Obviously the cover is a bit small for my bars, although the instructions say it should fit "ALL" bars. The Bell Company takes great pride in their product and will insult you before taking the blame for the poor production. Luckily, the damaged area of the rubber is at the bottom of the handlebars, so I only feel it when turning. It doesn't bother me while driving, except that I can't roll over as smoothly as I'd like with my hands on the wheel. It's summer as I write this so the cover has had a few weeks to sit in a hot truck and "melt" into the steering wheel, but the broken area isn't relaxing or smoothing out. still "lumpy". I think if this cover starts to annoy me a lot, and I think it won't be for long, I'll take the lace on the leather cover and not this steering wheel cover. Buyer Warning. Not for all bikes.
