I find this litter to be overpriced and undersized for my large adult cat with her huge litter box but it is a very good well made product. I currently use it as a blender with fine clumping cat litter (Sustainably Yours) and it manages clumping well and helps control odor and reduce staining. This pen, right out of the bag, has absolutely no odor, which I really like. Cats have a sense of smell 14 times better than humans, so it's important not to give them flavored litter. Although I think it would be best to use, especially for young kittens. As for kittens, you should avoid traditional clumpy cat litter for the first few months of life to prevent them from swallowing the small litter stuck to their paws. The solution is to use granular filler, but most of them don't stick together and this makes it difficult to keep the crate clean without replacing all of the filler. This tofu litter is dust-free, totally non-stick to my cat's very fluffy paws, and clumps well, making it a good option for litter box training. The granules are smaller than other granular fillers I've seen before, so it's still possible to use a conventional trash spoon and pour the clean pieces into the box. If it's in your budget and this junk suits your needs, I'd give it a try.
