I work in construction and have a lot of dust, especially drywall dust, so we clean the filters all the time. Ordinary paper filters don't last long when washed. I thought this filter would work until we tried taking it off a second time. It cracked around the hole and the outer edge came loose. I found the rubber was not flexible enough to remove it from the stem. We use a hard vacuum, which is what the filter was designed for. I really want to love this filter. It seems to hold up to multiple washes, but we couldn't use it long enough to test. Note: The shiny area above is where I tried using a flexpad to fix it but apparently it didn't work. If they ever make rubber more flexible I'll happily buy a different one.
