So far so good. Went against the size and ordered medium - ignoring the size chart which suggested large (I have a 36-38 waist) and ignoring the reviewers who recommended a size from the chart. I've had trouble with all cycling shorts where I've tried to keep the back pad where I need it when riding (e.g. between the buttocks and the seat). Medium might be a little tighter than perfect in the hips, but it doesn't hurt at all, and I can even pull my shorts comfortably over a pair of knee pads, which partially pull up my thighs without squeezing them. Shifting so that my butt rests on the seat with no pad in between. medium thinness in the waist; not too tight. Time will tell how durable they are, but so far they appear to be well made and good value. Addendum: Worn for more than 3 months. Holds up well. If you order another pair you'll probably order the large a little less tight, although the medium was fine. Comfortable through and through.
