Bright but fragile for LED strips

I made this into a light pole for my recumbent trike. The solder joint between the battery pack and the strip is very fragile. I broke it pretty quickly but I was able to re-solder it and protect it with clear heat shrink tubing. It's really bright and works well for my application.
