85% of my cordless tools are made by Makita and they're fantastic. This collector is a big disappointment. During operation, it sucks up chips from my Makita cordless planer or dust from a circular saw. The perfect pack and pack size, it fits nicely in a medium sized Milwaukee suitcase. The problem is killing the 5.0 battery. Running time 10 seconds before battery protection stops it. I sent the first one back and the replacement does the same. I cleaned the bag completely and the same result. It runs fine on a "dumb" 4.0 battery with no built-in fuel gauge. Makes absolutely no sense, so it comes back. Batteries are too expensive and the risk of irreversible damage is too great.
