Review on Lincoln Lubrication 5803 Grease Needle by Cesar Carter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

One of the best of its kind

That was a tough review for me. The product received does not match the image on Revain. The picture shows that there are threads on the part of the needle that go into a larger hexagonal base. What I got is not that, but a permanently installed part. To be fair, I had to get over my initial irritation. This product works really well, better than most others I've tried. I say "most others" because there are times when a longer adapter with a wider base etc works better in that particular situation. Many mention the use of ball joints and spiders for this, but they are also used in pneumatic tools. Such tools can either use a flush mount mirror or simply have a grease plug that can be unscrewed. This works well on both as the Zerk is for its intended use, but its ability to provide a small, narrow stream of lube also makes it great for adding after the locking screw has been removed. I find the quality better than others I have. . The tip feels hardened and reaches a sharper point than some others. The hose is also thinner than many others. I've attached an image with this product on the left and a competitor's product on the right. You can see the difference in both the stem and the tip. Considering how picky the amenities can be for you, take a look at the picture and determine what you need and what suits you best. If I had to choose one, I would most likely choose this one.
