Assembly was easy for the most part. My problem is cleaning. A sliding nozzle that needs to be pulled all the way out and sometimes dirt gets under it. Slots/gaps where the sides snap onto the bottom. That's where the garbage goes. Also, if your cat has an upset stomach, feces can get in there. I ended up digging poop out of the gaps between tabs with qtips. I think I'll have to completely disassemble it to fully clean it. There was also urine on the inside of the double doors, on the bottom of the opening and a little on the outside.
