We had a multi-day trip planned and used it to keep the cat from crawling into the front seats. Kitty didn't try to go through the center console, but she did try to go where the screen wouldn't slide out. She tried, but we didn't let her succeed, so she finally gave up. Same goes for crawling under the barrier. The barrier delivered to us has holes for eyelets and no sewn-in loop. Ours would always sag in the middle, and no amount of bungee configuration in different bushing holes would take the sag out. For us, the sag was right in the middle of the rearview mirror's line of sight, interfering with clarity. In the end we just increased the sag to get under the mirror plane. Probably the problem with all these barriers. We will use it again for the return trip.
