I really like knives. I've had them for a year now and decided to join. I cook quite a bit, so the chef's knife works particularly well and lasts great. I haven't sharpened them at all and they still hold a blade sharper than any other scrap I've had before. I love the bread knife too. Nice and big and cuts any type of bread (crispy or soft. Does a great job anyway) like butter. In general, the set is missing a few things. You really need a finer/finer chef's knife for things like onions and something heavier for slicing things like winter squash. I actually also have a Swiss Army 7" Granton Edge from Victorinox and it's my favorite knife so I recommend taking it with this set. Oh and get a hefty gourd cleaver :) The only complaint is the weight/weight Balance. They seem silly because the handle is light compared to the blade, but I've gotten used to it and I don't regret it. I recommend. A few tips, don't wash in the dishwasher and don't store wet. I use a magnetic one, on the wall mounted knife holder. A great way to display the set (plus a hatchet, you know, to deter intruders).
