. You MUST add a volume control valve if using it for temperature. I recommend Pfister 014-300A Water Supply => Thermostatic Valve -> Flow Control Valve -> Shower/Bath/Body Spray Set the temperature with this valve, then just leave it or adjust as needed. You use the flow control valve to control the turning on and off of the actual water flow. I didn't think that through when I added the shower bath. I reinstalled the thermostatic valve, turned the water back on in the house, and all the sprays and body washes were on. After I ordered the volume control 014-300A, I put it behind the thermostatic valve, everything went like clockwork, I adjusted the whole thing, forget it. You no longer have to laboriously set the shower temperature and water pressure: Set the temperature once and it stays the same every time, you simply adjust the water pressure. Pfister commercial line, very well made, easy to assemble. 3/4: Has a huge increase in flow above 1/2" IF your feed is 3/4". It's worth a little reflash for excellent results.
