Review on ๐ŸŒž Bulk Sunlite Patches by Justin Live

Good patches, best in the Bike Tools & Maintenance category

I ordered these because I often have a lot of flat parts and hoses get expensive after a while so instead of throwing them away I'm fixing them now . These are really good patches and they stick really well if you follow the instructions. I ordered a large tube of glue for this kit and used maybe 20 per pack. I have a technique that almost never fails me. After applying glue to the pipe, I use a match and light it. The glue is flammable and will burn, so I let it burn for about 10 seconds and then blow it out. The hose is already warm. I applied a patch and then put something very heavy like a brick on top of it for about 24 hours. Then I do NOT remove the transparent backing from the patch. I leave it where it is. Reinsert the hose, mount the tyres, inflate them and off you go. Since using this method I haven't had a single patch error and I have tubes with about half a dozen patches on them. It's a lot cheaper than buying a new tube every time. If you don't put the hose back into service immediately, which I sometimes don't do because I now have excess hoses, after the 24 hour cure time I fold up the hose and keep it in my tool bag as a spare. . At the moment I have about 4 spare tubes rolled up and waiting to be used. YMMV.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • Short instructions
