I'm a dark brunette with light color highlights and I'm starting to turn a little gray so I'm dying my hair. I only wash it twice a week to keep the color longer and save time! I use dry shampoo between washes to keep my hair fresh. I also work most days. In between all of this, I'm definitely getting extensions in my hair. I used to use Neutrogena T/Gel shampoo for extensions but it bled my hair color out. It took me a while to figure out why my gray hair appears so quickly after coloring. As soon as I knew I needed a new clarifying shampoo, I went in search of one that was good for colored hair but still reasonably priced. It meets all requirements. Lathers well, smells good, hair is sparkling clean! I use it once a week. I often use the shampoo twice so I use my regular shampoo first and then use it for the second wash and that takes quite a long time. The bottle lasts a long time on me. (I wouldn't recommend using a purple/blue shampoo for the first wash and then a clarifying shampoo. Expect it to wash away some of the color buildup you just applied. Order the purple/blue shampoo as needed for the second wash after.)
