I like it! I had my old straightener for 11 years and it finally gave out on me so I needed a new one. I color my hair a lot so I needed something that was the right temperature for it. This has different temperature settings and it says on the paper what type of hair you have and what temperature you should use. I followed it and my curls (I only curl my hair when I use a straightener/curler) held the first night I used it. It was hot and muggy outside, but the hairspray kept my curls in place. My hair is thick and usually my curls flatten out because they are so heavy but this is perfect for me and I'm so glad I have it, well worth it. Let's see how long it lasts with me. lol oh and it comes with some earrings! I don't use it but it makes a great gift
