Not worth going back

I have used many cheap and very expensive photo products for over 50 years. When I ordered this I knew it was a cheap pan/tilt made in China so I wasn't expecting much. I've worked with similar products many times and with a little effort I can usually get them working well enough to use. This head had such a weak pan axis that it swung up and down a lot to make useful videos. When I tightened the screw holding the plate to the pan axis just enough to stop most up and down swings, panning was smooth in one direction, but in the other the screw turned with the top plate and became Getting attracted to the point where she was was almost impossible. Pan. I tried to set it up and worked on it for almost 30 minutes and figured it wouldn't work without a lot of polishing and maybe some shims. The tilt axis isn't too bad, but it doesn't lock in tight enough to hold the DSLR even at a slight angle. After working with it for an hour I decided it wasn't worth more time so it's coming back.
