This Apple TV mount is designed for the older 3rd generation model. Make sure you buy the right one. It has two hanging options, one for the wall and one for the TV. I used the one for the TV which comes with strips that need to be peeled off and stuck to the back of the TV. This is the easiest option to use and sticks great. You need to make sure you aim close to your Apple TV when you turn on your Apple TV to get a good signal, otherwise it won't turn on. Also, it's a great idea to organize things!
