This is a must have for adult colorists!

These are my first watercolor pencils. I'm an adult colorist and sometimes I want to layer something faster than colored pencils. I have to say they are creamy, like Prismacolor without the water. With water the color comes alive and doesn't appear chalky unless you add too much. It is very nice to put a Prismacolor pen on it. They should be well centered (even when the barrel is closed) as they never break and the tip is fairly even and the actual wooden case is smooth to the touch (not round). I was also impressed with the jar and kept it for my brushes although I relocated the pens to the case. The real benefit for me as a colorist is THEY WILL NOT LEAK THROUGH THE DYES! These colored pencils can also be dry mixed with normal colorless mixing pencils. The colorist needs these pens and I will buy them if they ever come out in a big set, maybe 150? The color designation / number / and the lightfastness lettering are quite large and easy to read for people with visual problems.

Pros
  • Add depth to your masterpieces. With just a wet brush stroke, these water-soluble colored pencils allow you to blend, layer and create unique effects that add drama to your work.
Cons
  • Something different
