Impressed!: Bed Mattresses

***4 Year Update*** Well it has been exactly 4 years since we bought this mattress. Holds up great. No sagging and functional deformations. Actually, the mattress is still too hard! Sometimes I wake up with back pain, but nothing so bad that I want to change mattresses. After 4 years I can still recommend this mattress. I researched mattresses for ages before purchasing this particular one. Even though it's only $250 I was still very nervous about buying a mattress online. A dime saved is a dime earned, right? I was looking for a firmer mattress that didn't get hot and that was Certi-Pur. This mattress meets all of these requirements. My husband and I slept on a 6 year old innerspring mattress that had no support at all. I am a 138 lb female, 5ft 1" and my husband is a 175 lb male, 5ft 11". The mattress is very comfortable and relatively hard. It took us a while to get used to the firmness of the mattress. We may end up getting a mattress topper, but we were prepared for that. You can always add more softness; However, you cannot make the mattress firmer. The mattress arrived quickly and was very easy to assemble. When I opened it, there was no smell at all. I also opened the mattress as soon as I received it. I'll try to remember to update this review in a few months. At the moment we are happy! Side note: I have scoliosis and pain in the middle of my chest which my old mattress made horribly worse. I used to wake up in the middle of the night with back pain from our previous mattress. Thanks to this new mattress, I no longer wake up with back pain. Keep this in mind if you also suffer from back pain and are looking for a new mattress!*** UPDATE 6 MONTHS*** - Ok I've been sleeping on this mattress for 6 months now and have decided to pull one off. Star. I have several reasons for this. First thing I noticed was that this mattress tends to get hot. Probably "cooling" but I don't think so. This is my first memory foam mattress, so maybe this mattress cools better than others, but I really have nothing to compare it to. All I know is that it's definitely hotter than my previous innerspring mattress. me. However, I can probably add a mattress topper to fix this, so I'm not overly concerned about that. Finally, the mattress does not exactly fit the size of a queen. This is slightly larger than our queen size pen box. Again, not such a big deal but thought I'd add it to the review. *** Overall I would say this mattress is still value for money. Just know what you are buying and don't expect the quality of a $2000 mattress.
