Bought for my garage/shop. Connected to the cable from the dryer. The unit had a ground wire, a review on YouTube says there is no ground wire. Changed switch to 30 amps from 50 amps. Tested this morning and went from 56 degrees to 64 degrees in 15 minutes. On medium settings. May take longer in cold weather. The garage is insulated. Only 4 stars because there is no external switch and I've only had it for a few days. If I'm not mistaken, I'll provide an updated review in the spring. Pros: Affordable, easy to install (if you're already plugged in), generates lots of heat, adjustable position. Cons: no external switch. Update: so far so good. No fire. I didn't think it would turn itself off once it got up to temperature, but it must have happened. I turned it on in the morning the day before work and turned it off when I got home. I thought it was blown but everything was fine. On colder days, say 25 degrees, it takes a little longer, around half an hour to an hour, to get to the 55.24x24 insulated garage. I'm happy with it so far.
