I don't usually write one star reviews but I felt bad for this product because it was a serious oversight on Bell's part. advertised size of the same product, the last thing I expect is an installation problem. If I'm not missing anything here, I bought TWO neck curtains for the Bell Pit Boss which are sized L-XXL which means they should fit my XL Bell Pit Boss helmet right? Well, that's not my thing - they're about half an inch longer than the already attached portion of the zip-up helmet. I also measured just to be sure. My original neck curtain had a 20.75" zipper and this replacement had a 21.25" zipper. left ear) don't fit because the neck brace is too long, not to mention the dangling remnants of the zipper. To be fair they came with their own zipped helmet mount which obviously fits their own size exactly and one could take the time to remove the existing zipped helmet mount and replace it with the one supplied with the replacement. , but that still doesn't help, because a neck curtain that's too long can't snap onto the two metal buttons on the outside tabs (one side will shift). What I mean will become clearer if you look at the attached one: I bought two of these and they are both the same size. As far as I can tell, it is an original spare part from BELL. The neck braces came in officially sealed BELL packaging (I'm not inclined to call them fakes) and look identical in all other respects to the original neck brace I had (which I tried to replace after the dyeing failed ). Work). So I'm wondering if Bell Pit Boss helmets have been made a little differently over time. This is the only explanation that makes sense - the previous Large/XL/XXL helmets were not the same as the latest Large/XL/XXL helmets for Bell Pit Boss. There may be some truth to that because I previously ordered a large pit. Boss at Revain, then swapped it out for an XL, but the XL actually felt snugger. I kept the XL anyway as it had a nice red tag on the D-rings which added a bit of flare which the larger ones didn't - for some reason (perhaps a small update for newer batches of the same model?). This purchase was successful. This is a waste of money for me and the return shipping cost wasn't worth the return process. medium size and size L-XXL in one package - see which one fits. Alternatively, measure the zip on your helmet mount and if it is not 21.25 inches, note that this L-XXL size is too long for the zip fitted to your helmet. Of course you can replace the existing helmet mount with the one that comes with this neck brace, but that means you still can't adjust the snaps to the helmet's D-flaps (if you're curious).
