Review on Lead-Free Electrical Rosin Core Solder - Flo-Temp (21945) by Daniel Revlon

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Works well at certain temperatures

Tin, not the same as (pb), lead. This solder works a little differently, and yes, more skill is required for exposed metal copper work. Once I'm happy with the joint I always give it a few extra seconds of flame to smooth out the flux and my cleanup is very quick. The melting point is between 600 and 800°F, so keep an eye on your flashlight. For electronics, you need to do a little iron work, but it's quite effective on the board for wire connections, it's useless for chips. As always, be aware of combustion and gravity anytime you work with molten metal. Always install your own water trap and avoid the possibility of burning your skin as liquid metal is not friendly. Be sure.
