Excellent image, greatly simplifies backup.

Finally HD monitor for HD license plate camera. As a general system, it couldn't be better. The monitor gives a great picture and is securely attached to my dashboard. This is not an easy task as my pickup truck dash looks like it has a Teflon coating on it. I went through multiple monitors and even phone holders flying when I hit the pothole. Finally, with an Xroose monitor and a third-party phone holder, I have devices on the dash that stay on no matter the conditions. I didn't think an HD license plate camera and monitor would make a huge difference as the screen is still small compared to a TV but just the right size to fit between my dash and windshield . gives an image worth the price. I have a 200 foot driveway that goes uphill when I leave my house. The elevation gain is about 75 feet, which is why some riders find it challenging. I can't turn at the end of my driveway so this HD system is great for securing my driveway when used in conjunction with my mirrors. a few inches from a car parked behind me. This used to be my biggest challenge, but now it's easy, even with my long cab. The camera captures many landscapes even though I aim it low. I do this so I can see the top of my ball hitch on my truck as I approach my hitch. It takes 3 tries at best to hook the ball right under the muff, 2 if I had my morning coffee. For extra help, I stick a piece of red tape on the hitch and the HD camera system clearly shows me when to stop. I still think mirrors are a valuable tool when backing (or forward) driving, but I think they're a great addition to my truck or any vehicle, day or night. I also prefer a wired system since the wireless systems I've had in the past weren't serial. The image on the wireless model became grainy and often disappeared entirely. If you need help 'hiding' the wire (included) under your vehicle it's worth hiring a professional but I found the instructions easy to follow and attaching the wire to the underside of my truck was an easy task. The hardest part of running the cable between the camera and monitor was getting the cable through the firewall. I have to admit that I had to ask my stepson for help, but only for this part of the wiring. So if you prefer to reverse into parking spots, have a trailer that you need to hook up to your car, or need to see small obstacles (including children), this HD camera and license plate surveillance is worth the money. Background I was still struggling to set up my previous wireless systems (the instructions were often confusing and then it didn't work properly) so I hardwired the wireless systems to get a better picture, bypassing the transmitter and receiver. It helped, but now that Xroose has released a hardwired system with HD on both the license plate cam and monitor, I plan on using this system for as long as possible. I can't stop praising the Xroose system for the struggles I had with my previous backup systems. I could look into side cameras to eliminate blind spot, but I've never had a problem with that, especially when I added smaller blind spot mirrors to the two side mirrors. I wasn't expecting to write my reversing philosophy in a Xroose system review, but if you haven't installed a reversing system yet, then this is what you need. I can't say enough good things about it. Of course I can highly recommend it. Remember you pay for what you get.
