This is a direct replacement for xfx r9 290. Only 3 defects. I replaced this as one of my fans won't spin unless manually turned to 100%. 1. There is no LED cap with "XFX" logo or any LED caps. My fans had an adapter to add an LED but for some reason it didn't fit these fans, without this adapter I also lost a few inches in length which I don't think solved the 2.2 problem. The cable length I had was slightly shorter when installing the fans the same way as the OEM. I just rotated them so that the cable guide coming out of the fan was pointing in the direction I needed, which unfortunately gave me more cable length. About an inch of cable fell out of my card.3. Unfortunately there is no improvement over the OEM fans, I was hoping maybe they could cool better but they don't, in fact they are identical to the fan manufacturers and all old. I used MX-4 thermal paste on the replacement and after extensive testing it reached 88 degrees Celsius, but that was just in testing. I hope that there will be no problems with the heating in the future.
